Hey all,

I have been given an xbox 360 elite and i can have it if i can repair it.

The problem is that it will not read any kind of disks no matter what the disks are.

My question is how hard will it be to replace the dvd drive if anyone has done this before could you please give me some advice.

thanks for the quick reply,

not not really i would have thought that this process would be more difficult than just replacing the drive however after looking on here it seems that replacing the later would be easier can you recomend where i could purchase the laser for the drive

Can you play DVD's??

And if you can then probably its a bad flash and the key wasnt transferered over right brom the Base F/W to the Hacked F/W you should ask the guy who you got it from if he tried to do anything with the DVD Drive

And if you want to replace the drive it self it will be harder than you think you can just switch drives and BAM you have to flash extract spoof then Flash again

Like this

Extract the Key and Orignal and Indentiy and Inquiry and THE BASE F/W then go you you new drive and Spoof it. Then you can use dosflash and use the Files from your old drives to patch the new drive and make the 360 its the same drive

If you want complete help maybe post something in Hacking or go to 360mod.net and ask this guy textbook he helped my flash my BQ and was very helpful and has a tut so maybe post a thread to confirm some thing

Hope thishelps

XA
