U.s. Bundles,limited/special Editions, Price Drops? Options

Hey guys. I noticed there was an article about a new bundle system for Europe or Japan that was posted here at xbox-scene. This made me start thinking, "what about the US"? I'm wondering if I've missed any news on this or if anyone knows of anything coming in the near future. Price cuts? Special Edition consoles? Extra games/controllers/etc bundled with the system? That sort of stuff that we saw with the original xbox. I would expect something like this to come to the US if there doing it overseas. Plus with how well some of those special edition xbox's sold like the Halo ones I would expect them to do the same. Maybe?

MS wants to wait until as close as possible to the PS3 launch to do a price cut, because any price cut done by MS will also be mirrored by Sony. If they cut the price closer to launch it increases the costs to Sony because promotions and other logistics will need to be changed. It also makes Sony look reactionary, and also brings negative media focus on the PS3 price close to the launch.

Yes thats what i figured they would do with the price cuts. But what about bundles. I'd love to see them come out with a special edition 360 soon. I'm sure they will do something when Halo 3 comes out since they always do something for Halo but I'm looking at more within a month or two. I have to replace one of my 360 consoles from launch that had a sudden death.
