ok i want to hardwire my wireless controller, i think im going to put it for player 1 and leave port one unuseable, but my question is what if i was using my wireless controlelr and then plugged another controller into port one, what would happen? also, is there one particular wire i can install a switch for or do i have to get a 3 pole switch(dont use the yellow wire) thanks for any help, i tried a search but couldnt find just to let you know.

well if u hardwired it in u would cut the controller port off so it would become useless. or if u where talkin about a switch. if u had it turned 2 wireless and pluged a contoller in the port nuttin would happen.

what if i just cut off the 5 volt, would that stop the controller from operating so i could switch back and fourth or would i have to disconnect all wires at a time to make each work. for instance could i make a switch between the 5 volts so if the wireless isnt getting 5 volts, i could use the wired controller and if the wired isnt getting 5 volts i could use the wireless

Use the DVD Dongle Hardwired Tutorial, but use your wireless Dongle instead of the DVD Dongle tongue.gif

How to word this as to not confuse you any more. You can hard wire your wireless and still use your wired controller if......
What I did was I switched the five volt line with a push button switch. I then mounted the swith inside the controller port so that when you stick in the controller it cuts power to the wireless controller. Also I have found that if you are using the logitech controller that as long as you don't turn on the controller you can use the port with out a switch.

ok think about this if the wireless controller has no power how is anything even going to know it is there
hell you could even swith the ground instead if you wanted to. dosn't really matter as long as you break the circuit.
