I`m flashing a friends xbox drive for him. I believe its a Lite-on dg-16d2s.

I have X360USB PRO + CK3 MINI and AC MOLEX ADAPTER.

Am I right in thinking I need a Probe 3? and is that all I need?

Ive just flashed a Slim xbox and I had to replace the PCB, I did this successfully, is flashing with a probe 3 more difficlt or should I be able to manage it?

a link to a good tut would be great.

cheers for any help

Do you have a devise to power the drive like a ck3? If you do you can make a PMT probe and not have to spend much on a probe.

Depends what you mean more difficult? In terms of brcking then no. It cant be harder to do a dg-16d2s than it was to do a slim liteon board replacement. Because for a board replacement requires undolng cables and stuff and rehooking up.

A liteon dg-16d2s requires just plug in SATA and power and run J/F. All 7/8/9 series.

Thanks for your reply, so I do not need a probe?

You need the probe, unless you already have the key which I believe you do not.

Will the Ck3 Mini work with the Probe 3? or do I need Ck3i?

Will this be enough hardware?

X360USB PRO
Ck3 Mini
AC Molex Adapter Power Supply.
CK3 Probe 3

cheers
