a whole 10 people?

MS release a patch to fix some issues.... why is everyone bitching?

updates to problems will come eventually.

and msn messenger integration will come soon enough

I think he meant ten thousand people not ten people blink.gif

The kiosk disc was not the key to modding the 360.
Come on can you blame MS for blocking the disc. Its copyright stuff and it was being distributed and ripped apart and burned by the masses. Its not like they are not going to notice.
background downloading would be a nice feature.

3 things to make the 360 godly:
1) Background downloading
2) Support for divx/xvid avi playback, either from dvd, or using MCE extender. You can get $70 (or less maybe) DVD players that will play xvid files!
3) Turn off notifications only when watching a DVD (if I'm watching a movie with the GF, I don't care if someone comes on Live), but I might care while playing a game.

But yes, fixing the savegame problem (since it affects half the games I own), and the guide crashing are both 'good' things.

Everyone is bitching because everyone was expecting actual enhanced features, not something that pertains to negligible things.

As for #3, umm... you can already do that if you didn't know already, for future reference

Just turn off the notifications before you watch a movie. I wonder if you set your status as away if it will stop showing them as well. hmmm

4 users in the netherlands...

I think that if u calculated it in a percentage of the normal population, the netherlands is one of the highest percentages of live users of the entire world.

We live in a small country, but 80% of the households have a broadband connection and a lot of people like gaming ...

I guess the update would be good for correcting freezing issues and whatnot...IF THATS WHAT IT ACTUALLY FUCKING DID! One of the most well-known PGR3 bugs is when after a race you try to view someones gamercard, it freezes...you can still hear music, everything is still going in the background...but you cant do anything, it just sits there. It's the VERY first thing I tried after I downloaded the update....and of course, it froze. sleeping.gif They are so worried about people running the kiosk disc to get anything relevant fixed for the USERS...it's garbage.

the one thing i was hoping for was to be able to put my own pictures on each blade rather than having the exact same one all the way accross.

The main reason for the update was to block the kiosk disc. All other things come second to them protecting their interests. Expect another patch in a few more months after they fuck around some more.

I was really looking forward to background downloading. sad.gif

I'm really more concerned that they continue to work on some of their "backwards compatible" games, like Fable: The Lost Chapters on the next BC update.
