Hello fellas. I consider myself serious a noob, but I have managed to fit an Xecuter 2.6 CE and flashed it with the X2 4983.67 bios. My goal is to do nothing more than to get the emulators that allow me to play Capcom and SNK arcade games (Final Burn Alpha X/ Kawa-X) and play those classics.

I recently acquired a Slayers 2.6 auto installer disc and I intend to KEEP to stock MS hard drive in my xbox. Can anyone assist me at this point? Since I don't want to replace my existing hard drive, I have not done anything with the Slayer's disc since the stock HD does not need to be formatted. Please help this noob get to the promised land!

ya, just install the emu's and your roms into the proper folders and your good to go. You might want to think about a ram upgrade 'cause I think some of the roms need the extra memory. Make sure you install the least amount of extras like dashboards(you only need one) and get rid of all your old game saves. Maybe think about seeing if you have a seagate?? drive (long weekend, can't remember) and you might be able to squeeze the extra 2gigs for space on the hdd.
Hope this helps

Deltaarmstrong2000 thanks for responding. I have a Seagate harddrive. I guess I just need to get the EvoX dash onto my box so I can FTP to it. What does the RAM upgrade entail? blink.gif And I have to delete ALL of my saves? I am looking at acquiring no more than 20 specific Capcom and SNK games.

Well it depends on how big the games are, although i doubt deleteing your saves is gonna get a worth while amount of space back, and the ram upgrade involves some hella good soldering and desoldering skillz, and a new ram chip.

All you need to do is get the emulators, and games, the transfer them over using ftp or from a disk. You don't need a ram upgrade. You have to solder in 4 additional ram chips that have 100 solder points per chip about 1 millimeter big. It is by far the hardest mod to do to an xbox. By the way you should use unleashX as your dash, evox is so primitive and hasn't been updated in years.

Thanks for the responses fellas smile.gif It seems the RAM upgrade is out of the question. I guess UnleashX is the dashboard I am going with. Does Slayers auto installer contain this dash? I have not even looked into what it contains yet. Figured I'd come here first before I fudged something up. BTW I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong section.

There is no need for a Ram upgrade anyways, the emulators run just fine with 64.
