Yes that's right, the old nes code still works and gives you 30 lives to play with. I am not sure this even affects your achievement as I believe you can still net some achievments with the 30 lives cheat.

Before pressing a to start a new game press:

up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-b-a

btw. it's called the Konami Code or The Contra Code. seems Konami used it in lots of there games.
