i recently bought my friend's XBOX off of him, soft-modded it, and installed UnleashX as my dashboard
i then swapped the HD with a 300GB one, have it all working perfectly (using the F: and G: partitions for my games)
i downloaded an emulator pack as well
and i have XBMC for videos, music, pictures, and trainers for my games (as it has the built-in trainer feature)

now my only question is, what else can i do? i wanna use my new XBOX to it's fullest potential

to summarize what i already have done:
-replace HD
-emulation
-games on HD
-trainers
-XBMC

anything else?

there is also linksbox which you can use to browse the net with but it is a pain to use.

Software-wise
1: Make XBMC your Dashboard and have UnleashX as an app.
2: You can setup linux on it so you can use it as a PC.

Hardware-wise you have a lot of options too.
1: Add Composite/Component/S-Video outputs
2: Add Digital/Optical audio outputs
3: integrated IR Unit/Controller switching
4: Case/LED/Fan mods
5: 128MB upgrade

There are more things too, don't be afraid to get your torch out and look deep in the bowels of the forum to find them.

already using a component cable i bought online, it's working nicely (especially for games with HD support), but i dont think i'm gonna do any case-modding
but no, i prefer UnleashX as my dashboard, because i dont usually use my XBOX for media, and UnleashX displays all games, no matter what partition, in one section, as opposed to XBMC which shows them in whatever partition they're in (i have 2 partitions cuz of my 300GB)
plus whenever i wanna use a trainer, it only takes like 5 seconds more to load XBMC and do it through that

what's this 128mb upgrade?

its a ram upgrade, basically your xbox comes with 64mb of ram and you can add another 64mb of ram depending on the model of your xbox me thinks.

Yeah, it gives you more memory for XBMC. So you can have all the swish skins looking purdy, and it helps with outputting video in HD (It doesn't help with playing HD videos themselves though).
Note: you can only upgrade ram on the pre-1.6 boards.

interesting question... I wouldn't mind knowing more about this too.

I don't know what type of ram is being used, but wouldn't mind upgrading it.. if possible!

Does Google not work where you live?

5 seconds on Google, look for "Xbox Versions", first hit:

Xbox Versions HOWTO

Third hit:

check what version you have - Xbox-Scene.com

Another 5 seconds on Google, this time look for "Xbox RAM Upgrade", first hit:

Upgrading Xbox RAM HOWTO
