I can't get into my xbox hdd now. What should I do? I have all my original files on my PC so if I need those i've got em.

EDIT: the error comes up right after the xbox start-up, usually it goes to evox, but not anymore.

Per Daddyj's Sig:

ERROR #5

Def: HDD not locked

Reason: A Retail Xbox BIOS cannot boot an Unlocked Hard Drive.

Solution: Lock the Hard Drive or get a modchip.

What I would do: Make an XBHDM Disc with your eeprom. Your original files should still be on the HDD, if so just lock it. If there not copy C to C E to E: and eeprom to eeprom and make yourself a new drive. So just lock it and try it.

If you did back up in evox then you have a eeprom back up.. Look at your evox back ups for eeprom or hdd.txt file..

if you have an unlocked harddrive and no eeprom backup then you'll need a modchip...
