My monitor has started playing up and not sure how to diagnose the fault.

Whether being used on DVI or VGA it comes on as normal, them few seconds after it fades a bit then after that it goes off, the power LED on the button stays on as normal and the DVI or VGA indicator that appears when changing doesn't appear so I know it hasn't lost pc signal.

If I press the power button off then back on it's comes back on but the same happens.
I've left the power cord out and tried later, same happens but takes longer to go off.

Whats up?
What thinking maybe the back light?
Would warranty cover this? If so how do I sort it, I don't have the original invoice anymore now though

Cheers
