when i do tream training sometimes, i get team swords. usually i always win, but sometimes when i am coming toward a guy direct on as is he coming toward me. i strike & he strikes, however i die. is there a sure way to always make sure that you kill him before he will go kill you.

Usually the last to get the lock wins. For example if you lock on and go to strike, but then he does the same to you a split second later he will get you. No idea why it works like this, but it does.

There is almost never a reason to back up when a guy is coming at you. 9/10 times he will get the reticle first.

I'm not that great at dodging the sword, so no tips for you there, however try and throw sticky nad on the guy if you know he is gonna get you.

i really am not that big of a fan with swords..or shotguns for that matter...

they make me so mad when i shoot someone at the same time they shoot me and i die... tongue.gif

i dont like the "team shotguns" or "team swords"...i like "team slayer" because of the weapon variety

The best luck i have had getting a few extra seconds off the sword guy is to be strafting to the left, cut back to the right at what i think is the last second and jumping. If your timing is off your fucked. As for head on, you might want to try stopping for half a second or running in the oppistie direction for a half second. He won't see it comming and it might make him swing too early.

i dunno but what works for me is crouching when someone lunges at you, i haven't mentioned it to anyone, but people always call me a cheater bc i crouch while they lungie.

Yeh, I find that happens too, Last person to strike hits first. I guess its cause you then have a shorter distance to go before hitting the opponent as he is coming to you.

Only technique i have with sword is either try and hit them in the back (one hit, one kill) which is the more stealthy approach or just spam the trigger while at close range. I dont think there is a certain way to make sure you kill them everytime unless you get deep down into all the maths etc working out the timing etc.

phantoms on midship is godawful... phantom king on foundation however, is a nice change of pace they through in there, though i dont know if games like that (phantom king, rockets, swords, shotguns) should be ranked really...

rockets esp as that truely is a luck game...

i agree with everything you just said...

other than the rockets..rockets do take some skill...you dodge..and shoot..its the name of the game (not really) lol
