You know me all too well.

I guess I will just go back to eating my pint of Häagen-Dazs, my zebra cakes, and my twinkees, and wallowing in my own self pity. This coming from a man who said ants and bees are communists, God save the queen.

I just have one question for you, since you do after all proclaim to be a man of science and not a man of faith; do you think we live in a progressive society?
Was that a question I heard??? From everythingbutananswer? Can't believe it. If I believe we live in a progressive society? I guess you can see that from thousands of different perspectives, so I'd say yes and no. It's evolution allright so it's got to be progressive. Don't most religous people agree that society is evolving? No matter they believe biological creatures aren't evolving, they believe the society is evolving. Everyone can see that much have happened in say 2000 years. But to be honest I don't see much of a positive progress going on as we never learn that e.g. war is wrong. From the technological aspect I'd say we're progressing extremely, even too fast. But in many ways the society is in a regressive state today, so there's no definitive yes or no answer to that question. I think of evolution as something negative, eventhough I find it imposible to regret it's existence. Evolution is cruel, no matter you accept it or not. I think the evolution from apes to humans was the biggest mistake evolution could make

The world would be far better off without us. So it's hard to answer that as it's such a broad question.
Edit: And I didn't say ants and bees are communists, I said their society RESEMBLES very much to communism. There's a major difference there. Evolution however is the only world system we're always surrounded by, but within evolution we can create different systems.
