so i bought some pieces about a week and a half back from DoctorWho

and then i had this cool paint idea
i have a 1.6b with no psu, no dvd drive,no heat sink, no ide cable, and no modchip (yet)

but for starters what i have done

cleaned the case
bought paint
painted to the point of clear coat (working on that right now)
taken pics

what still needs to be done
clear jewel
psu's arrival
buy dvd drive
buy heat sink
ide cable
leds
and modchip



here are some pics

removed the ugly skin and cleaned it all up

you know that grippy stuff you put in your kitchen drawers or tool box
its that stuff
i stole it from work hehe biggrin.gif

i just put on clear coat #5 now i must wait a while before i can bring it in


was just lookin at my eject buttons and i decided to sand them smooth and paint them

Take your time if you sand the buttons, because I rushed and rounded off one of the edges. Luckily I managed to bondo it to the point that it looked pretty much normal. Personally I'd fill in the symbols with bondo, but that's your choice. Nice mesh look on the case though. biggrin.gif

i got the buttons sanded smooth and painted black with a coat of clear

ill get the pics up tomorrow cause i want the clear coat to dry perfectly and im going to bed

it rained last night and all day today
but lucky enought i brought in my xbox case (i paint it a dust free shed) and left it sit for and hour so the clear coat can warm up and dry faster

but here are the pics

I don't post a lot, but I'm always looking at xbox's people do and I really like this one. Great mesh look and it works well with the silver. Buttons looks perfect. Looks sick; hope the chip works out for you.
