I have an Xbox v1.0 and and Xecuter v1.0. A friend of my went and flashed the wrong type of tsop for the chip on my xbox. So it wouldnt boot. I put in an Xecuter v1 and it has ran perfect for the past few years. The other day I was using it and I started smell a melting plastic type smell. I turned it off and opened it up and say nothing weird. So I closed it back up. Now all my box does is frag. If I turned it off and on, say about 20 times it will finally kick in and start working. If I reboot, it starts fragging again. Now it has gotten to the point that it will no longer boot. Just frags. Any ideas how I can fix it? I would like to reflash the tsop, if that is even possible. I think he flashed the wrong type of bios for a certain chip on the tsop. So I dont think the 3 wire fix is gonna work. What chip should I throw in to get this running? I would like to pull the Xecuter out, I think it burned itself up. I guess Halo 2 was just too intense for it to handle. smile.gif

I just tried the 3 wire trick and still not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like your going to need an xray3 29 wire chip.
