Hi

I have a premodded xbox for a while now, but now I want to buy a completely new xbox and solder a Aladdin live +programmed chip on it dry.gif

however I saw the D0 dot ant the other stuff that need soldering and got a shock, they are tiny!! I don't know how I'm going to manage solder it, however I have a 15w solder iron with a too big tip I think(it's around 0.13 inch or 3.5mm) however I'm planning to get a 18w Iron with 0.5mm tip(0.02mm)

note I'm not sure about the size.. the mm is accurate while inch might be wron sad.gif

So I need help, all the help! I'm pretty good with computers but have no soldering skills lol ohmy.gif

haha, amazing how people dont take 1 min. of there time it takes to post in the forums to go and look in the totourials. biggrin.gif But anyway soldering is easy. Esp. the pin header, i find that easyier then quick solder(with the Xenium the best chip alive.) If you get the right wire you dont have to solder the d0. I think its 30 gauge wire (correct me if im wrong) fits perfectly in the d0's hole so it sits there.

lol, if i read mkulrey13's post correctly he says that the 30 guage wire doesn't need to be soldered. Even if you can find that wire, you should still solder it or you will have problems with a bad connection (Not to mention, it could slip out). I need to get a smaller solder tip, but my 3.2 mil chisel tip has worked fine for 5 d0 points so far! Just sweat it on if you absolutely have to. It's better than a "solder-free" connection any day!
