Ok, that last scene worries me a bit.
They showed the alien kicking @$$.

No valve I am not interested in playing as a whimpy E.T. like alien!
Dog? Maybe, just maybe. But I sure as hell don't want to play a weakling alien with a vision handicap!

www.xboxyde.com is a great site as well.

They quite often have their videos in true 720p. Great for if you like watchin stuff on an HDTV.

What are you talking about? Of course you are not going to be playing as a vortiguant, and vortigaunts are cool! Much better than E.T.

hmm
i still feel like i missed somthing from half life one to half life 2...
like i thought vortigaunts were bad in the first one....then in the second one...its like "no, they are good now fight these combine guys"
i just dont see who they are in the grand scheme of the story....shit i dont even get the story...
could anyone who understands the damn thing explain!

Vortiguants are one of the Aliens from the planet xen that teleported to earth after the resonance cascade in HL:1. At the time they were hostile to the humans because they were being controlled by the mind of the Nihinlith (can't spell it smile.gif). After you kill the Nihilith they are released and join the hunam resistance against the Combine invaders. in Half-life episode 1 it is revealed that they might have some special purpose/power as they prevent the G-man from taking you back (cutscene at the beggining of Ep 1).

And you will definitely not be playing as a vortigaunt in episode 2, however they will fight alongside you against the various enemies.
