Hey everyone, I'm onto my 5th xbox mod here but have a question before I actually heat up the iron. I've done previous spiderchip installs on 1.0 and 1.1 xbox's (including pin header installs). My question is simple, is the positioning for the pin header on a 1.6 motherboard any different than the position on previous versions? I figure it should be the same... extract pin 2 and place in pin positions 1-12? Thanks!

I believe I found a correct diagram with much thanks to HackDaBox's site. It seems as if 4 pins are pulled out of the pinheader instead of just one (since this is a 1.6 install and the LPC needs to be rebuilt). Can someone please verify this for me?

The LPC Rebuild picture is towards the bottom, you should be able to see the backside of the pinheader with 4 missing pins!

Thanks! pop.gif

You can leave all the pins in it makes no difference. the ones not used are not going anywhere.
Yes you have to rebuild the LPC on the 1.6
