Is it possible I can download a large version of the "X" from the xTV logo (image) somewhere?

Basically I prefer the xTV logo greatly to the standard xbox logo that I get when I boot up my xbox and also at the evox screen. I just read about modding the skin in evox. So I'd like to add this logo.

Anywhere I might be able to download it?

You might want to check out the SVN, here are some quick links to the startup screen:

4x3 resolution
16x9 resolution

This is the link to the SVN:

Great work. Hope they stay tuned for our input for some updates.
Not like MC360, which stayed at version 1.0.

Can someone add a link to a full skin package. Latest SVN Build only contains MayhemIII (obviously).
I can access the files individually on http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net...ediacenter/xTV/
but that is not a way to distribute this. Is it ?

May I suggest to start calling this "XBTV", or has "xTV" already become the standard ?

Is it possible to change the color of the background ? My LCD TV has a problem finding
the correct zoom with all this black.
Yes, I can put it fixed on widescreen but than some older TV channels
and DVD need manual adoption :-(

Same stinking problem is in the (new 360) Media Extender for Vista. Cannot find a way to
change its black background (in another color), to keep my TV in 16:9 widescreen mode :-(.
With the old bleu it was 99% okay :-).

Cheers.

Here are some mirrored compiled builds of skin revision 960, if there is an update/newer version the builds will be updated as well:
http://blackmarket.ictcsc.net/files/skins/

For all the available skins, and latest version check out the SVN skin directory:
https://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net...boxmediacenter/

If your not familiar with SVN, or how to use it check out this tutorial:
http://xboxbox451.googlepages.com/svn_client_guide.html

Also I don't think they will change the name, it's been xTV for a while now, if you want to customize the skin you can edit the XML or files in the media folder, more information about this check here:
http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index....e=Skinning_XBMC

You could try clicking the link in my signature to download the latest revision of the skin.

It will stay xTV

There is an option to use a custom background in the skin settings. You can also change the video calibration in the xbmc appearence settings.

http://blackmarket.ictcsc.net/files/skins/

That's great. Just each skin packed in a file (with a version id. !).
Careful with downloading just using IE. The connection is unstable.
Better use a downloader that can see errors and redownload parts.

For all the available skins, and latest version check out the SVN skin directory:
https://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net...boxmediacenter/

Yeah great, but how to get them packed and downloaded. I used Teleport leecher.
Took a look at the tutorial as well.

Perhaps one could check the folder /media for xTV. Are we missing some *.xpr files ?
Why some version have /default and /white and other (latest) don't ?

If your not familiar with SVN, or how to use it check out this tutorial:
http://xboxbox451.googlepages.com/svn_client_guide.html

Need to download a program, install it, learn how to use it ? :-(
No. Come on. Another way to download for Hans Wurst like me.

Let's hope that http://blackmarket.ictcsc.net/files/skins/ becomes an anchor for future updates.

I'm sorry that the server is kinda unstable at the moment, we've some issues at the moment, but it should be fixed soon (I hope).

Why some version have /default and /white and other (latest) don't ?

When you download from the SVN, with a program like TortoiseSVN, you have to run BUILD.bat, to compile the build (that is when the *.XPR files are created from the image folders), the /default is for textures.xpr and /white for white.xpr, it varies per skin.

We will try to keep the latest versions available, because some people can't run batch files from the SVN on their OS or some people just like it simple wink.gif

Thanks Martomo,

for the help with the X images. However, I already hunted around the svn for ideal images. The ones you pointed out, I found them already, they're too small for what I'm doing really.

A while ago when this skin started, people were contributing images to create the graphics I believe.
So I thought it was possible that someone might have a PSD of this image somewhere?

If anyone can assist, appreciated.

cheers.

Got it up and running. Looks very good. Nice piece of work.

Two more questions to tune it to my circumstances:

Probable need to set these in an *.xml file and I don't have the time to go through all of these.
Probably one of you knows these and can give me with a quickstart.

1)
I use as album coverart a "Folder.jpg" that contains 300x300 pixels.
They are displayed too large and become ugly due to the zooming factor.
Would like to reduce the size to lets say 50%.

2)
Who decided to display <Album Artist Name> <Song Name> ?
That's no good. The artist should be mentioned only once in a top header.
Together with the <Album Name>.

One could consider to display the <Contributing Artist Name> per track if it is different
from the album artist but make this an option one can set On or Off.

Come on Jezz_X. Just tell us in which xml file(s) we can set the values of the CoverArt size.

I guess they are displayed at 500x500 which is too much zoom for my jpg that are native 300x300.

Only need to adjust this in "..\PAL 16x9\DialogAlbumInfo.xml" ?

P.S.
The other question about the <Album Name> in the track listing could be adjusted
in settings/music: %N %A %T >>>> %N - %T

I don't think that helped your situation any. A little manners go a long way.
