BenHeck 3600 Controller

[QUOTE]
OK so yesterday I had my Facebook status as saying I was "being frustrated by potentiometers" - a rather normal day for me, really. For whatever reason this prompted one of my friends to suggest I build an Xbox 360 controller inside of an Atari 2600 controller shell. And I thought "That's dumb enough to work!"

A mere 5 hours later I had what you see above - the 3600 controller! This is an Atari 2600 controller with wireless Xbox 360 controller guts inside of it - batteries too. The big red "fire" button is "A", other buttons are attached to the top.

The 3600 controller was accomplished by using the guts of not a normal 360 controller, but those of a Guitar Hero 3 controller, of which I still have several laying around, many months after the fact.

AHHHH

At first I was scratching my head as to how he managed to fit a controller PCB in that case...

after looking at his site he used the main board from a Wireless Guitar Hero 3 controller.

BTW... Circuit City is selling the wireless Guitar Hero 3 controllers for a mere $20 (the wired Xplorer controllers are only $10)

Great Cheap controllers for hacking projects like this if you're interested. wink.gif

any1 knows what buttons are available on that PCB for use? cause I'm working on a lil project and it would be a better option than what i have done so far, but i would require all the buttons of a standard controller.

I know the 4 face buttons are there, but what about L, R, LB, RB? any1 can confirm?

Thanks

He does say on his site this is more suited for XBLA games.

I was thinking more importantly - where's the sync button???

I know he said it's more suited for xbla games, but it doesn't mean the pcb doesn't have connection points for the missing buttons from the guitar.
