Hi all,

I tried to install an Xbox Xtender today on my v1.4 Xbox running Xbit Mod.

Instructions advised me to solder a wire to the side of the resistor which resides at R3G3 on the Xbox mobo, and yup you guessed it, I managed to FRY the resistor.

I need to buy a replacement resistor so need your advice. I know its a 10,000 ohms (10k ohms) resistor but do I need to get any particular wattage /voltage and make ? Also any ideas where I can pick one up in the UK ?

Or is there a way of bridging the resistor point with wire ? (Sorry im hopeless with electronics hence the accident !!!)

The Xbox seems to power up when I press the Eject button but then it switches off after 20 seconds.

I look forward to hearing from you all

many thanks in advance

SS

Just buy a 10k resistor, remove the old one ..
use some wire to install the new resistor .. doesn't matter, as long as it's 10k smile.gif
