Newbie Questions, Ixtreme lt v3.0 and a little issue Options

Hello all, first post so please be gentle had a look through the faqs, and search,
we have Ixtreme lt v2.0,our back up of COD 3 worked fine, then we played Dirt 2, no probs, went back to Cod and got unsuported disc, had the disc cleaner on,it seems to like xdg2 no probs games but not xdg3
using verbs, imgburn (latest) and burning at the min, (4x),layer break set to calc optimal,opc checked
any help or guidance would be much appreicated

Has the dashboard on the console been updated recently? If so you will need LT 3.0. If not I've also read around that xgd3 wont play if the laser in the dvd drive is weak.

many thanks for the reply, LT 2 was put on December and it worked fine, x/live has been on , and to config w.media center the dash was updated, but transformers/ dark side works fine, going to try a Lite-On iHAS124B - DVD Writer Preflashed with LT Burner Max Firmware , worth a punt

going to have to be re flased, tried connecting to my mobo, no joy as rock 7025/nforce 630 a chip set

so its back to the guys that did the job in the first place

Microsoft came out with a "silent update" a while back maybe a month or so before christmas. It updates your console without you knowing and you will no longer be able to play AP25 backups (not just xgd3) until you update to LT+3.0 (currently the latest version). After you update you will unfortunately have to patch your iso's with the specified "topology data" in Xbox Backup Creator (look around for a tutorial, i used team-xecuter's) and reburn your games. So basically any game that says unsupported right now will never work again on your console, so you might wanna toss em.

It sounds hard but it is VERY simple.

no this is getting to be a bit of saga , many thanks for the replies, i have had the drive firmawar upped to lt 3.and it is still doing the same unsupported discs, the disc are fine , gave them to a friend who has lt 2, no probs
the drive is a lite on, played , getting to be a bit of a runaround

sortted got here in the end, 10 quids worth of coasters......nah gave them to a lt2 user..so no probs thanks gain for the knowledge share

YOu need to always run your backups ISO through ABGX 1.06 level 3 autofix and then you wont burn coasters and having an IHAS burner is best. Glad you worked it out.
