theres no X3 pogo for the 1.6 yet , soon.

Pogo pins is just an adapter that sit in the requiered contacts for the chip , you just screw it on of the motherboard , and you just place the chip on it. no soldering requiered.

Not entirely true. You’d still have to solder the LPC rebuild module (or just do it manually) on a v1.6/1.6b Xbox… wink.gif

rolleyes.gif The spiderchip is totally solderless on a v1.6 , so that is the method that Team Xecuter and Xodus are using.

and im talking about the new one that isnt out yet , with the one that is out now yes you need to rebuild the bottom points.

The x-3 must be soldered on a 1.6 simple as that.

So the Spiderchip is just a screw in chip I read in this Pdf that you need to solder some wires in can somone shed some light on this.

I have no idea what "this PDF" you're talking about is, but the Spiderchip is a 100% solderless chip, held in place by a mobo screw, and using the "spider leg" wires to connect to the juice-providing points that the 1.6 otherwise needs connecting by soldered wires or an LPC rebuild board on the bottom of the mobo.

So, at the moment, on a 1.6/1.6b mobo, the only 100% solderless option is the Spiderchip. On ANY other chip, you have to at least rebuild the LPC by soldering something, in addtion to the pinheader (or wires, if you choose that install method).
