I have no idea what "this PDF" you're talking about is, but the Spiderchip is a 100% solderless chip, held in place by a mobo screw, and using the "spider leg" wires to connect to the juice-providing points that the 1.6 otherwise needs connecting by soldered wires or an LPC rebuild board on the bottom of the mobo.
So, at the moment
, on a 1.6/1.6b mobo, the only 100%
solderless option is the Spiderchip. On ANY other chip, you have to at least rebuild the LPC by soldering something
, in addtion to the pinheader (or wires, if you choose that install method).
