10. I fucked up my ________ because I'm a retard monkey and I didn't read the tutorials... what do i do?
this is not what happened. my xbox has been running great for years. yesterday i decided to put all 25 or so of my games on hdd. I have had issues with pxhddloader in the past and now only use dvd2xbox. i still have like 50 gigs free but not a single game will play now of the hdd. today i updated my dashboard and freed up more space and cleared my cache files all to vo avail.. let me know what info you guys need. thanks |

i could use a hand on this as well. i have an xiso on my HD. i was under the impression that simply 'clicking the file' on the box would boot the game up.
thats not happening at all. in fact, nothing happens. i made sure its an xiso by creating the iso with Qwix myself. |

slow days around here lately, anyone noticed? |

@CHEFISHMAN:
How big is the partition you're putting your games on? @osmorphyus: Don't bother creating xISOs unless you want to burn the games to disc. |

@CHEFISHMAN: How big is the partition you're putting your games on? @osmorphyus: Don't bother creating xISOs unless you want to burn the games to disc. my partition is about 230 or 240 i cant remember off the top of my head. Mabye i need a newer bios, or is maby my hdd crashing. the games show up in the list with little icons but they all load the box back to the dashboard. In the dvd 2 xbox program the games show up . it says how many folders and files for each game. wow i just noticed that in each game folder there is a defaulf.xbe and a default.xbeorig . did maby dvd2xbox do something funny. also my config.ini seems to be right f\games g\games f\hddloader g\hddloader |

my partition is about 230 or 240 i cant remember off the top of my head. Might be worth looking into that. If it's less then 256gb, then I'd say your save data has corrupted. Backup the UDATA/TDATA folders on your E partition, then wipe them. Reboot and see what difference it makes. Do not use XBMC for this procedure. Use UnleashX. wow i just noticed that in each game folder there is a defaulf.xbe and a default.xbeorig . did maby dvd2xbox do something funny. Yeah, but it's supposed to do that. |

so i loaded up slayers disk and wiped the drive and did a new install.
Im still having the same problem.the game appears to install to hdd properly but will not play off hdd or disk. if i take game to another box everything works fine. i cant belive this is not working anymore. for years this box worked fine and now it seems to not play any xbox games. I almost thought the dvd drive was going out, but the slayers disk did fine. i have no clue what to do and now i also have a xbox with virtually no data. how boring |

Presumably it still acts up even when cold booting the game disc? (That is, putting it in the console, switching the power off, then starting it up again with the disc already in the drive?)
Pretty unlikely it's HDD related at this point; try taking an EEPROM backup, then checking the file with LiveInfo. See if it comes up with anything odd. |

i will get and check my eprom asap. thanks bomb bloke for replying. i have done 13 boxes and have never had to mess with the eprom..
its odd i can copy and boot an emulator of hdd, but not a xbox game. it always goes back to the dash. by the way its now running evox and same problem. set avalaunch to dash same problem. nowthat i think about it i remember swapping out the dvd drive about a year ago but im sure thats not the problem. i have cleared catches , set the clock, tried a cold boot, formatted the hdd and all to no avail. I am willing to start from complete scratchand ftp evertyhing if you think my slayers disk is the cuplrit( im sure thats not the case though). |

You don't need to reflash the BIOS with Eurasia - the eeprom has nothing to do with the BIOS. You need to pick a video region, save the eeprom (keep a copy of the original, don't overwrite it), then use Config Magic to load the repaired eeprom onto your Xbox.
