Guys im very new to xbox... as a matter of fact i just got it 2 days ago, all i know is mine has a samsung dvd drive and its not a 1.6, i was wondering what modchip i should get? so far duo 2, smartxx and Xenium ICE are the ones im looking at, do you guys know if theres other modchips thats better up to date?

affirmative, cap'n! well, any of the fourth-gen chips should give you problem free operation, but you'll like the coloury LEDs that come with the Xenium smile.gif

yup Xecuter 3--way to go..
Pretty lights- can customize colors within splash screen.
Most importantly- u WONT get BANNED on live- shuts itself off auto..
excellent chip by far..
nice than mine 2.6 xecutor..too bad i gave my brother the X3..

Get an Xecuter X3, especially once the new BIOS is out, it will kick A$$ !!

Also the add ons like the Pro Switch and XLCD - which will undoubtedly have more support also with the new BIOS - just makes it all worth while. And from what I've seen, one the easier ones to install as well.

Have you seen the solderless install for the Spider Chips !!?? <Shudder>
