Don't take too long standing in the shadows for the kryll, for obvious reasons. Also, if you don't kill Raam quick enough then more kryll, not connected to Raam, start flying overhead that can kill you at any time. So, the trick is to finish him as quick as you can with quick reload headshots with the sniper rifle. If Dom dies, which he always does, it's worth reviving him on your way past if you have to run for it. Dom will distract him and draw the kryll off of him a few times before he dies. Running for the gun turret is suicide. If you want you can also trigger the kryll to fly off of Raam by shooting down the flying pod things next to the train. You can shoot them down with one good shot with the sniper rifle. This seems to piss off Raam and he sends his kryll after you, leaving him open for head shots. If you take too long to kill Raam, and don't shoot down the pods, the pods seem to release a bunch of kryll into the skies and then the shadows are not safe ever. People say, "It's easy to beat Raam trust me", but this section of the game was obviously designed to encourage co-op play. The easiest way to kill him is to play it co-op. One guy runs ahead and hits him with a grenade while the other stays back and shoots him in the head. Then the first guy runs past him to get behind him, and the second throws his grenades and so on. You can kill him with grenades, but it takes all four and you have to chuck them practically betwwen his legs. I've unloaded every bullet in ever gun into his exposed chest and he didn'y drop. You have to quick reload and head shot.
