Hello,

Let me introduce myself first.
Im StealthyWolfNl and im new to modding.

My question is!
i want to run psx games on my xbox
i got a rare one, i dont know if its chiped or soft modded.
the casing is transparant blue and the light indicator is orange.
i saw some videos on youtube when they boot up there xbox they got a menu. i want that too.

can you guys help me?

Google EvoX auto installer.

Burn to dvd if it runs PROFIT. Then just look for Xbins and find your emulators. If not look into soft-modding or flashing it.

You mean when you turn it on, after the flubber animation, the big green X appears and has a diamond shaped pink "EvoX" logo, correct?

I have seen an Xbox modded this way before --- perhaps it is EvoX M8 Bios (I was under the impression that EvoX bios never featured this logo, but maybe so).

For the most part, if the flubber animation or the "X" screen at bootup is modified in any way, that means it is chipped.

If the bios on your chip supports it, you should be able to boot the system with an unlocked hard drive.

As mafiafan123 said, if you boot from an installer disc, it will get you started with a modified dashboard... I suggest looking into how to FTP into the console yourself so you can familiarize yourself with how FTP works when it comes to installing emulators and apps.

Note that once again, your bios must SUPPORT the feature to boot from an alternate dashboard...

For example, an unmodded xbox boots xboxdash.xbe on the C:/ directory on your xbox.

If you have hacked bios that support booting from a different path, your xbox might look for C:/evox.xbe or C:/unleashx.xbe (or maybe even E:/evox.xbe depending on how the bios was set up)

Otherwise, if the bios doesn't have this feature, you can still use a hacked dashboard, however it must be renamed to xboxdash.xbe (which already exists, so you may want to rename it msdashboard.xbe so you can remember that it is the microsoft dashboard if you ever need to use it again).

By the way, when I saw an Xbox with the pink evox diamond in the corner, it was only booting up modded 30% of the time... Me and a few people were sitting there turning it on and off constantly until we finally figured out that it had a pressure sensitive power button... if you pushed power lightly it would boot unmodded and if you pushed a bit harder it would boot modded. This was probably a feature of the chip so that you could still play on Xbox Live. Not sure if yours is set up like that, but if it is, don't think it's faulty like I did

When i tsop flash consoles with the M8 bios it has the little pink thingy in top corner. so id imagine its either tsop'd or chipped.
