I was there looking for Forza, Unreal Champ. 2, Area 51, and Phsychonauts and they didn't have any of them. The games weren't just out, they didn't even have the games at the store. I'm thinking about Gamefly but the prices are steep and I've heard the wait time can be long.

All the blockbusters in my area have all of them but Forza they get them tommorow. One major problem is that they normally are not in stock as since there is no late fees now, idiots never bring them back which really pisses me off, but on the other side of the fence I am glad I dont have any late fees anymore more as my lazy ass never gets them back on time. One hint is that your blockbuster may indeed have them and not feel like putting them out!! I have ran into this many many times, they look at games as not as important and leave them sitting in a box for days even weeks SERIOUSLY so ride there ass and you might find they actually have them!!

Ohio and I have many blockbuster all around me and I usually have to call ahead and have them hold a copy as they only get 2 copies of a game except Halo they still have like 40 copies..lol. But most dont know and they dont want you to know that you can have them hold any game or movie if you call them!! And if you have a gold rewards membership like I do they can even hold them on weekends!!

Gamefly isn't actually that expensive compared to Blockbuster and the selection is amazing. I've been using Gamefly off and on for a while now and they always have the games I want. Considering it costs about $6.00 to rent a game at Blockbuster and it's $13.99 a month for the one game plan through Gamefly I'd say Gamefly is substantially cheaper.

No. They send them to your house and they give you a pre-paid/stamped envelope to send it back in. They pay for that. Its awesome. I would recomend it.

Here in Hawaii the wait for a game is not worth it, I have 4 Blockbusters within about a 10 mile radius, and i can find any game i want, maybe not for a couple days, but it's better than the shipping times, but keep in mind it's 2,000 miles. I have a game pass at the best one, so im happy with my blockbuster situation

Nice to see another person from Hawaii posting on these boards. I haven't tried the Gamefly route, but I think I can rent more games via Blockbuster as well. I'm sure the Gamefly turnaround time is about 3-5 days for Hawaii, whereas I can drive down to my Blockbuster.
A nice tip is that the Game Rush Blockbusters (it seems the mainland stores might be separate entities, I don't really know) in Hawaii have the most and recent selection of games. Folks on the maindland may find similar situations, otherwise, just use Gamefly, turnaround time should be 2-4 days I guess.

I have no clue as to how Blockbuster is still in business.
Between all the rent-by-mail movie & game serivces, it amazes me Blockbuster has'nt closed thier doors.
The only thing that could possibly keep Blockbuster goin is VHS rentals, otherwise there is know way they could afford the employees and overhead for a storefront.
Even if they start switching to rent-by-mail DVD's, its too late for them to compete with all the other established companies. I give Blockbuster another 2-5 years before they close thier doors. By that time the market would have nearly switched to all DVD therby killing VHS.
