Has any 1 tried using hardisk from banned xbox360 onto a new x360 or the 1 which is not modified ever.If they still gets banned then it is clear that MS is detecting stuff through your hardisk there might some information being recorded and is later sent to MS.I got banned so I bought new core and I am worried if attaching my banned x360 hdsk will get me banned again coz I dont wana take any risk before i m 100 % sure any 1 tried swapping hdsk and survived the ban ?

I have two 360's and I switched the HD from the banned system to the non banned system and it works fine. They are both premiums

I'm new here, but please don't disregard my post. I recently switched Xbox's with a friend who had an early version of the fw, but no access to the internet ever. I upgraded to 5.3 and used my hdsk, and I'm currently not banned again. I'm not currently playing any backups, just halo3 beta through crackdown. Hope that helps alittle.

Why on earth would you flash it then go on Live? The xbox will also get banned. Flashing 5.3 does nothing.

The hard drive is not banned the console is. You can use the hard drive on another xbox.

just adding a little something (plz don't spam me). If they where to save information onto the hard drive i would imagine that it would log the serial of the console, before sending to ms (if thats what is goin on, so they can ban xbox not account) so even if the info is still on the harddrive it would only refer to the old xbox serial.
Im just leaving my xbox turned off for a while (funny thing is i've only ever used my xbox once with a back-up to test it after flashing, it would suck to get banned). I don't even want to restore my original firmware just incase they detect the flash... huummmmm what to do

Mhh M$ sure does see then that im still playing new games but not on THIS "not banned" console.. im wondering how they would react..

I might be picking up a new 360 this week so I can get back on LIVE.

I also was wondering if my new console would be banned if I swapped the hard drive back and forth. So, I called the 1-800-4-MY-XBOX number and spoke to a guy who asked his superior about my question. He came back and said the new console won't be banned by using the hard drive from my banned console.

So, if anything happens, I have my reference # and will raise hell. wink.gif
