The thing is; I can calibrate the gun in MednafenX-NES V4 & this works fine. Now, when i start Duck Hunt or Wild Gunman (I selected the zapper as controller in port 1) the cursor appears onscreen (well calibrated and all), but when I shoot the screens flashes white; as if I shoot next to the screen. This happens in all games, PAL and NTSC settings.

Even on a real NES the screen always flashes white when you pull the trigger regardless of where you're aiming. This is how the system determines what part of the screen the zapper is aimed at.

Yeah, but it doesn't respond when I shoot at a button or something displayed on the screen. It just flashes white.

Did you try assigning the zapper as being in controller port #2? Do you have the crosshairs enabled? If you do, do you see them on the screen where you are pointing your light gun?
