QUOTE(Sloppy Fat Dump @ Feb 27 2006, 09:19 PM) *

I'm having a little trouble with that macro mode on my camera. Anyone got any tips for a Cannon Power shot? blink.gif

I believe you press the menu button, then go to camera setting and then select the flower looking thing. At least thats what I remember from my sisters powershot. Even without pics its still a great tut

Yes sir. But... there is a designated button on the camera for it. No need to pull up the menu.

I promise better quality pictures on my next tut.

Thanks stail!

I pinned it earlier. However, for it to stay pinned, those out of focas pics really need to be redone. Set Macro whenever taking photos closer than 2 feet from source. Idealy.. set on a mini tripod or something to help steady the shot as well.

Demon, I know you're a man of your word. So, I'll redo those pics ASAP.

I'm going to retake them right now. If I don't get them up tonight, please give me until tomarrow. Thanks, take care!

Since my editing option is messed up, I had to change all the original images linked to the paths on the original post.

Ya, it took a long time...

Well, I re-did all of the really blurry pictures that were essential. I apologize for the precut solder joints pictured in the USB removal because the captions are inaccurate.

They say like... "before we start, and ect..." but really, the pictures are higher quality than the original which show the process in the step more clearly.

One picture I wanted to add concerns the removal of the memory card slots. I was trying to describe how you can bend your faceplate so that they easily come out without breaking those securing pieces.
IPB Image

This picture describes how you are going to push your faceplate. Push your thumb up and your middle and pointer finger down.

You'll figure it out when you look at your actual faceplate.

There you go Demon, blurry pictures removed. I'm glad that you requested it because I didn't like the pictures myself. But notice, some pictures have blur... those are not the ones that I consider blurry.

Thanks for the support guys. Once I get some new parts in the mail (this week or next week) I'll have a brand new tutorial that I'm sure you guys will find interesting. (Assuming no one else makes a tut before I get my parts, either way I'll make a clear tut with my new camera techniques!)

Your friend,

How do you use the rubber cement to paint the power button??

Well, first of all it's a very tricky process. It may take you a few tries to even do an acceptable job. You're going to want to take a very thin paint brush. Then you apply the cement in maybe 1 to 2 layers on the power symbol. This will shield the paint from your power button. After painting, just peel up the cement.

But... to those who suck at these types of things, I would recommend spending 10 dollars on an extra pelican faceplate. It's a MUCH MUCH EASIER job. You can take the power button right from it and the power symbol just pops off.

You can find this tutorial here.

Good luck!

MS took a very inexpensive approach to assembly with a lot of the plastic pieces for the 360.

What they do is they mold the part with extra long prongs (i.e. the "plastic solder") and after the final pieces are thrown on the part... they take and melt the ends of the extra-long prongs down... thus forming a sort of plastic "riveting" action to hold things together... Xacto knives easily take care of disassembly... but as anyone knows... if youve ever used one... your bound to eventually slip. Dremels can be a little pricy and unstable at some times. But the 70$ you invest will be well worth it.
just always have an exacto around too.
