I know this is a noob question but is it still possible to get banned if you mod your drive with stealth firmware but play on Live with the actual bought game?

If you knew it was a newb question then why is this in the Technical Forum? Ever here of Newbie Chat?

You can certainly get banned even for playing burned games offline. The system security event log is always running.

Yes. Get iXtreme LT+ to be safest possible.

Thanks! That's what I thought but chances of getting banned with a real xbox game and iXtreme LT+ are reduced. Correct?

LT+ is considered safe online so it makes no difference in terms of risk. You can play burns or originals online with equal risk. The logging of security events does not need live so you might as well you play all burned games online and keep your originals safely put away on the shelf. wink.gif

Everything you do carries a risk. Next time, try not to ask questions like this. "When will i get banned?" "How will i get banned?" "What gets me banned?" - no one knows.

Newb posts do not belong in the technical section. Questions about banning do not belong anywhere as no one can accurately answer them. If you mod your console, you will get banned. Period.

Use your vacation to read the stickies and forum rules.

Other people in this thread: if you see newb questions like this in the technical sections, please report them. They don't belong here.
