Someone claims he has made the 360 run on an alternative bios. This is his quote from the Llamma forums:

"we have already done one at my shop and we plan on doing 7 more
so yes it is possible and i cannot say anymore at this time
but our chip is handmade and hass no special features (it is mostly a bank controler to switch to a rewritten bios bank)
i would wait for xecuter to make a chip rather than go crazy about ours"

Sure, I have a pre mod for the ps3 since i have a devkit and tested some shit out. It's gonna be easy, u need a special wire wich i will sell when he launches. And u split it. Its basicly a 1,5 wire mod with inside a bios in the wire! (yes, great new technology i invented!)

So u believe everything u read? Including the news, etc. Without proof, don't post some lame stuff like this, plz. Thx

He probably said it just to cause a stir-up. However, he has posted a few comments on this and the comments are pretty long and detailed. Maybe there is some truth in what he is saying. What I want to know is who is this 'Dugan' guy who told him what to do that he keeps on mentioning. He's obviously the brains behind it. That's if they did actually get the thing to work.

Even if what he says is true - and I seriously doubt it is - all he claims to have done is pull the CPU and replace it with another using some sort of bridge hardware. At which point you have an OS-less computer, not an Xbox 360. Hard to see how this would be too useful.

This is the funniest post I have read in ages!! Someone give the guy a hand for the drama around the burnt and chapped hands!! If he has removed, and replaced the CPU, after managing to find a replacement?!?, then I am bl00dy santa claus.

He even mentions D0 point, and correct me if I am wrong but isn't D0 a particular connection on the PIII CPU of the XBOX, NOT a valid CPU point on the XBOX 360 CPU?
