Sorry to double post but there was no edit option.

I was able to input my information and get Xlink to the next step, so the next step is my next problem...

When I got to XBMC then XLINK I get this message "The service is not connected attempt to reconnect?"

My xbox is able to FTP and I have Xlink running on my computer..

Port forwarding is something you would do with your router to make sure those ports arent being blocked. To log into your router to change settings you can usually type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar but all routers are different. You will also need to know your username and password to log into your router.

its alot easier to setup XBMC if you know kai works fine and you can play online using the PC UI first .. its easier to diagnose the problems ..

xboxmediacenter.xml was taken out of XBMC a long time ago , if your build still has that file you really really need an update :]

oh heres a guide for setting up XBMC , the skin is old skewl but its all the same.

http://www.portforward.com

Use this guide to figure out what router you have and how to configure it correctly for your specific application, including XBox apps (I think);
