Ok this is one of those faulty xboxes i bought.
It works now so let me explain..
I used an eeprom reader to get the eeprom softmoded and locked a drive for it then put it in there and it worked just fine.
its a V1.0 Today i decided to tsop it. its a V1.0 so i have to do the points at the bottom, so I pulled the board out and fliped it over and said.
"Wth is this"

looks like some kind of cheap mod to me. But as i usualy only soft mod came to see what the verdict on it is.

ok so my camera sux.
will try and read what it says..

ok so it has an L top off center to the left.. with 3 dots running down the left side of it, a 4th dot adds up to the bottom of those and becomes 1 of 3 running allong the bottom of the L

something like
CODE

        L
   A3-64732
  IOVC-12VI
   AQ26AD7

some of this could be wrong because its prety faded
here is a real picture, and my artistic impression of it.

the trick to taking good pictures of this sort of thing is to take them outside (bright natural sunlight works better than artificial light or a camera flash) and make sure to use your cameras macro mode if it has one (look for a flower icon)

anyway, heres an old pic of an enigmah chip

AH HA!

Man that M mode thing kicks booty!

not only is it super clear. it also lets you read the thing better than you can with the naked eye!
