i have many ripped games, and a 5mb work line, and would like to upload them (iso), though when i try to rar them, and span them, the rars do not come out, like .rar .r00 .r01 .r01 etc.. they come out.. .filename.part1.rar filename.part2.rar... someone please help, what am i doing wrong,




and also can someone recommend a good par program, and also how when pars are made, they come out .PAR .P01 etc.... if im missing .par but have the P01 P02 P03 P04 etc files, can i use them to recover lost rars?

your not doing anything wrong. That's how the new version of winrar works. Instead of .rar .r01 ect, the new version does .part1.rar .part2.rar. Your fine.

For PAR files I recommend SmartPAR. Lovely program.

If you've downloaded something, and some PARs, you can just double click on a PAR file, and it will load up and check your files. Any that are missing can be re-created provided you have enough PARs. (one P01/P02 etc per missing part, and the first (small) PAR file, if you can find it.)

To create your own PARs, just do "new PAR set" and load up all your RARs. Easy.

Nah.. SmartPar is Old.. try Fluid Studios FSRiad.EXE. Faster, and can monitor a download DIR for you, and rebuild as soon as it has just enough parts.
