Ok, so I have a phat jasper that was previously wired for RGH with a coolrunner, along with a cygnos. My hacked image resided on the cygnos, stock onboard.

So, I wanted to convert to RGH2 in order to play on LIVE. So, I went to update to the latest dashboard so I get could the split CB nand image to create a hacked image from, but the update failed. Here's the error code:
396b 397f 1380 2446 C800 1006

So, I've flashed my original nand back to the 360 (which was the same dashboard btw, 14699) and tried to update. Wouldn't work. Flashed stock FW to my liteon. Wouldn't update. Completely de-soldered coolrunner. Wouldn't update. Obviously attempted update via USB. No go. I even called MS support to see what they thought, and they don't know what the error code means.

So, I have another thread on the xecuter forums w/ more info available here:
http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86407

If someone has any ideas, I would be very thankful!

Regards

Smith

You have a Red wire soldered to J2B1 pin 7 but it doesnt look like it goes anywhere, is it connected to the coolrunner? supposed to be VCC point on coolrunner.

You also have what looks like 2 ground wires (2 black soldered to video housing) then it looks like both are connected to the collrunner!?!

You can manually extract config blocks and inject into a different nand, they are at point 3de and are 2 blocks in length.

Also dont use Rawflash as it uses differential writing, flash360v1 is far better.
(I know you have used LTP and Jrunner I was just pointing this out)

You could try erasing before writing then also read back and compare it to what was written.

You could also write a retail 14719 image to the xbox, see if it boots, then try adding avatar update, I presume it does same checks?

Have you tried writing stock to the cygnos? then updating that nand? If it works you know its a nand problem, if it doesn't then you know its not a nand problem.

Could be a DVD drive problem or cable problem, Hdd/memory problem, official HDD? or corrupt.

To flash coolrunner with RGH2.0 timings, load up jrunner, select RGH2 from dropdown box, click flash coolrunner, a window should popup asking to select A,B,C,D or flacon timings, I would try em all.

Check the components on the coolrunner too you may of blew something.

That should keep you going for a while wink.gif

Wow, those are a bunch of ideas hahaha.

You're right, the red goes to coolrunner. I have it disabled on purpose. Though, I suppose the fact that the CR is still grounded might cause problems? It takes 2 min to desolder them, counting heat up time ha, so I might as well try.

I didn't want to write a stock 14719 nand because I don't think it will get me split CB will it? And also, if I wrote one dash version less than that, and updated to 14719, would MS see that I didn't have split CB?

I will try writing to cygnos, hopefully it'll update! I could live with having my on-board be hacked and my cygnos stock lol.

I will also try extracting the config blocks. Jw, will that cause any flags? I don't think it should, because all of my data will be there, but worth asking.

I've switched drive cables, but not drives... Am I safe to throw in a hitachi or sammy just to try to update? Again, the entire reason I want this to work is for dual boot so if I get banned that would suck haha. Also, tried a different HDD, same results, so that's out.

You've given me quite the laundry list of things to do, thank you very much!! I'll get crackin!

Regards

Smith

Switching the coolrunner to program disables it. no need to disconnect or re connect.

Ok, so far I've:
-Disabled the CR
-Flashed stock nand to cygnos

Those still fail to update.

So, where can I get a donor 16mb Jasper nand, cb 6750 to inject my config blocks into?

Regards

Smith

Edit: nvm, just created an image w/o nanddump.bin using jrunner, testing now.
Edit 2: That also failed.

So, at this point the only things I haven't tried in order to update are flashing the 14719 image, and swapping drives, both because I don't know if it'll get me banned.

Quick update/bump:

I tried flashing 14717 just to see if it would work, and it just got the 3rlod.
