I have a systum with Evo-X flashed onto it with Avalaunch as a sub Dash option. I think I shorted the Mobo (two resistors poped) but I was able to solder a couple in that I salvaged from a junk mobo. Evereything works fine now, BUT, when I try to enter Avalaunch, the screen goes black and I have to reboot the systum to get back to Evo-x. A couple times I've heard the background music during the black screen like it had booted, I just couldn't see it. Once, everything booted fine (cold day I think).
Again, Evo-X works without a hitch. But I dunno whats wrong with Avalaunch.

Update on the issue:

Avalaunch definantly boots on a regular basis, I can hear the playlist. Although still no video. Another problem with the systum though is that Media Center takes almost 3 minutes to boot. Is this normal or could it all stem from the same problem? I'm still doing case work so I'm hoping that when everything's sealed up, the airflow might make the stuff work (overheating?).

What's the best operation temp.'s for the CPU/GPU?
