Hi all, I have used Xboxhdm successfully before, so i am not exactly a noob w/ the program, but I used it at my computer at home. I am away at college and am now trying to put a larger hd in my box, and i have created the iso w/ the c: files and eeprom. I boot and am able to lock and unlock the xbox drive fine, but when i try to access the default boot to vga to clone the drive, the program tries to boot, and craps out. I have been searching all day and have only found others that have this problem, no solutions. Anyone got one? I have tried to change the config file as this thread states with no success http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=337172

Are there others programs that will clone the xbox hd after i have unlocked w/ xboxhdm if i cannot get this fixed???

HELP please!

Thanks
SMith

The actual hang is eth0 link down? Does this have anything to do w/ my network cable not being connected due to have a wireless card? I did a google on the link down and got a bunch about network cable not being connected? Any ideas?

I've been dealing with this for 2 months now and have found no answers. I just gave up and tried on my parents computer and it worked fine, so don't drive yourself crazy thinking you messed up making the cd. Now if someone is able to address the issue it has with some pc's bios, please let me know. I only get about 1/2 an hour every week to mess with it, but if i had it at home it would be done. There is a sweet looking program made by chimpanzee, but I have a 1.6 and would have to telnet to use it. sad.gif

yah, this sucked...but wait, SUCCESS! I was working w/ a friends comp and it was working fine. We then ftp'd into my xbox, so we undid he network cable to ftp and forgot to hook it back up after we were done. When we booted to xboxhdm, it did the same error as mine, so i knew that had to be the problem. I run a wireless card, so there is never a cable plugged in. So i went into bios and switched my lan settings to disable and bam, it is working like a champ now!

Thanks for all of the help and i hope you get yours working, do you run a wireless card?

No wireless card here, but maybe that solution for you will point me in the right direction.

If you have linux on your system you could just run the xboxHDM scripts.. I have all ldots scripts used in xboxHDM.. Just launch linux and go in to shell ./scriptname

my buddy's comp didn't have wireless either, just had the ethernet cable disconnected, and that was enough to stall the proggy.

The thread was updated, please try it now, and send any feedback.

Xbox HDM Failsafe option

Use the same instructions, just ignore the old failsafe mode.

I think the problem is with :

QUOTE
load_ramdisk=1 prompt_ramdisk=0 ramdisk_size=24000 rw root=/dev/ram pci=biosirq vga=0x317

line xboxhdm .conf file..
