Howdy,

I haven't been able to find any information on this at the stores I've been to so here goes...

Are there any wireless controllers for XBox where the receiver unit plugs into the XBox but then has a cable that goes to the actual receiver? I want to have my XBox in a corner but have the receiver pice be more in the center of the area so I can be sure I get a good connection from the adjoining rooms.

Also, can a standard Live headset be used in any wireless controllers or do you have to buy the special controllers with the headset base unit built in? I already have a headset and just want to get a wireless controller that can use it if possible.

Any links or info would be great.

Thanks.

I doubt they are sold as such, at least I havent seen any, but I dont see why you couldnt splice one into an extension wire yourself.

What's the point? most of them are RF so not dependent on line of site. If you still want to just use an extension cable.

not entirely sure what your getting at, but my cordless logitech precision controller, has about a 6-7ft cord, that goes to the receiving unit.

i get my cord along the wallunit and dumped it on top of some dvd's.

works great.. love the controller, a little expensive though.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The ones I've seen just had a unit that plugs into the XBox and it wasn't attached to a cable.

THe main problem is my XBox is in a corner and I could be40 feet away and on a different level than the XBox. I just wanted an extension cable so the XBox can be 50 feet away but the receiver for the controller would be less.

I'll have to hit up Best Buy since I have some gift cards to get rid of.

Thanks.
