As soon as I'm home tomorrow I will post a pic, cause that's the exact fan I used.

I used that same fan and finally just trimmed little pockets into the shroud to accept the leds that poke out after trimming. I hooked the fan up using the red and black and yellow wires and the fan runs pretty fast and have to say it keeps it cool. I dont know if its necessary to solder to the board. It is quite a bit louder than stock but at least I know its getting cooled good.

This pic: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/CLBtoZid3ZgZZN56.huge

black + red are the two you need.. so the 4th controlling the speed won't touch the fan you plug in

Black & Red are all you need, but correct me if i'm wrong but this is same wiring as a pc? Red = 5v Yellow = 12v Blue = Control wire and Black = negative. So you could buy a 2 pin fan like: (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106155&cm_re=92mm_led_fan-_-35-106-155-_-Product) wire it up to yellow + black to get your 12v then stick the control switch out the back of the xbox and control your fan the way you want, correct?

This may be the lazy method but would it be possible to buy an adapter for this fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...6-155-_-Product

To fit this plug: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/CLBtoZid3ZgZZN56.huge

Or simply just buy a blue LED fan that fit's the slims outlet?

IPB Image

For 12V, the best way to get the right voltage, use yellow (+) and black (-) under the power socket.
For 5V, dont use the purple one, get it form hdd power cable.
