I've looked and looked and looked... And pretty much given up, but as a last resort one final effort I ask. Is there any xbox app that runs outside of linux that can mount both xfat and ext3 partitions so as to ftp to them. Ex: I ftp over a new complete installation OF linux over to a ext3 partition (F)

I assume a non-linux solution means Windows:
Ext3: google "Ext2 Installable File System For Windows"
FATX: xplorer360.

On the xbox itself, only a linux app would understand both ext3 and FATX

Question - how did the softmodded xbox get an ext3 partition without executing linux in the first place?
