Hi,

I hope somebody has seen or read of this type of problem before.... it is driving me mad at this stage!
Whenever I press the guide? button to bring up the mini blade it pops open for a split second then closes again!
I can however turn the console off with the long press of the guide button...

At first I thought this was a dashlaunch setting, but after installing dash launch and choosing the hide miniblade option, I realized that it was not the same (dashlaunch option completely disabled miniblade).

I used coolshrimps jtag tool to generate updflash, and flashed with xellous.
I have tried multiple times to reinstall 13599 dash yet still the same problem....

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

What have you tried to solve the problem? I'd personally try the following, use a Different control pad, flash older dash, flash same dash built with different tools, different RF board.

So far I have tried...

dash using bestpigs toolbox
13599 - mini blade for split second then gone
12625 - no mini blade ( reboot/shutdown when profile is selected)

coolshrimp jtag tool
13599 - mini blade for split second then gone
13146 - mini blade for split second then gone
12611 - does not make it past xbox logo at start
9199 - e79 (dashboard error)

updated using xellous from usb stick, I dont think it would be the controll pad or rf board as the shutdown (long press on guide button) menu does stay on screen.... but ill try tomorrow anyow.

does this all sound like an rrod in waiting?

Have you tried without a hdd attached? maybe a corruted profile of something else on the hdd.

Also what files did you use to generate the updated nand image? Is it a jtag you have done yourself or purchsed? Try playing around with different source files.

I used Easy freeboot 5.33 to get to dash 13955. I had a problem where it didnt create a working image unless I used a nand from before or equal to dash 12611. Always make sure you can open it with 360 flashtool.

I had a little search on a few forums last night and didnt find any info.

The reason I mentioned changing the pad/ rf boards was because then it rules a few things out. Narrowing down the problem for you.

I had a box like this. It was bad blocks. have you checked for bad blocks?

and if so what are you using to flash nand image? how are you remapping.

I was able to get mine working properly after properly remapping.

its a jtag i bought with 7371 dash and got it jtagged by a pro in my region, i got that miniblade/save problem right after been jtagged.

i flashed nand by myself using forum's help with 13599+avatar, installed dashlaunch with specific settings :
