Now that Newegg dosent seem to have any of the preferred LG drives.

A) Is there a better option now?

EBAY! To answer your other question, I think there are only 5 drives which can read wii games.

* Hitachi LG GDR-8161b (IDE)
* Hitachi LG GDR-8162b (IDE)
* Hitachi LG GDR-8163b (IDE)
* Hitachi LG GDR-8164b (IDE)
* Hitachi LG GDR-H10NBLK (SATA)

So check ebay, or also check the product search on google.

I got some GDR-H10N sata drives and you can confirm these will work?
