Thanks! I missed the last two sign ups and was pretty bummed. I haven't missed a beta in a few years (aside from the Kinect beta).

As long as you signed up and it says you were accepted that is all to do for now. It hasn't actually started yet. Check back or wait for some news or you will get an email.

I can't wait for every one who has begged and begged for a web browser on the 360 to comment on it.

Is this like previous beta programs that doesn't let you get on LIVE until the update is final? Thanks in advance.

There have been no previous programs like that. I know that people who have updated to beta dashboards that were leaked and were not admitted themselves are disallowed from accessing Xbox LIVE. Other than that, however, no official beta testers have ever, to the best of my knowledge, been preventing from using Xbox LIVE during testing. That would pretty much defeat the purpose of the beta.

There was one like that, it was either at the beta of the NXE dash or the "metro" style dash. Although it didnt prevent a live connection, you were only able to join games/voice chat etc with other users of the same dash.

Thanks for the info. I only asked because I was once on that dash that StrictPuppet mentioned. It wasn't very fun since you couldn't do much.

That's actually not correct. The limitation was because of the party audio codec change. It prevented people with the new codec from joining parties made by people with the old codec and vice versa. Game voice chat and parties still worked correctly. Matchmaking was also not affected. I was one of the people in that beta and was constantly playing MW2 with my buddies. Here's an article at Joystiq about the change.
