i looked and didnt find this posted so enjoy pop.gif

good to see an article listing the positive notes of our console instead of concentrating on things that make little difference to gaming in general or features that none of the next gen systems will have.

I dont play comp. games or have a gaming computer but just wondering... do the graphics look better on hi end comp setup? Or are you just talking about gameplay with mouse/keyboard?

^Exactly.^

JMan8108, yes a higher-end PC will have better generally graphics in my experience. This will change as the game devs continue to use more of the 360's power. Keep in mind, though, the costs and headaches involved. CPU, RAM, Vid-card, mobo, all this adds up to equal easily twice the cost of the 360. Then, you have to get it set-up and updated to run games in a stable manner.
The 360 is cheaper and easier for gaming than the PC. The games are close right now, and future 360 games will probably surpass the PC in terms of quality.

I beg to differ...i love my 360, but PC is never gonna die...PC gaming has a future, and u dont need to buy a new one every 4 years to be a part of it...I prefer using a mouse+keyboard against a controller, but thats my opinion

That's not necessarily true. Even if you don't have to buy a whole new pc. A new video card every 4 years is about the average life. Video cards now adays cost almost as much as a console it self. That's just video cards, not ram, or any other component that may need upgrading (cpu, powersupply etc.)

It's all pretty balanced.

PCs for gaming have a MAX life of 2 years before they can't keep up with the latest... that's also dependent on you buying the bleeding edge at the beginning of those 2 years.

I used to play PC games too, it's just too expensive, I went all console and never looked back.

While I do agree that cutting edge PCs typically have superior graphics to consoles.. I can't see how you'd think they have a future... Consoles are getting more and more powerful with shorter and shorter lifespans. It used to be that PCs were the most powerful followed by arcade equipment followed by consoles... now it's PCs followed by consoles, followed by arcade equipment... by next generation I feel consoles will be ahead of PCs

Not to mention ALL of my local EB and Game-stops have completely removed their PC sections... if you want PC games you have to go to the ever-shrinking selection at Best Buy or Staples. No matter how much better the graphics may be, that's not a trait of a gaming platform with a vibrant future.

More probably about 3 or 4 times

like twistedsymphony said computers for hard-core gamers last 2 years at the most. And the installation and setting to tweak. with a console you pop in the disc and go

i have a feeling that this is going to turn into another PC vs 360 thread
