True but he pointed out that they were no longer polluting the air. wink.gif So I guess Tupac and BIG are both his favorite rappers. Incidentally, I find your comment about Camero Guy knowing nothing about rap kind of rediculous. What true rap fan would have DMX, and Jay-Z in their list. You might as well have added Ja-Rule to your list. With that said, DMX does make a better rapper/hip-hop artist than an actor. laugh.gif

Nothing wrong with Jay-Z, I agree with you on the DMX comment though.

Hiphop and rap are different. Personally I can't stand hiphop, but there are a couple (literally) of rap artists I like. Best has to be Goldie Lookin Chain. Whilst they are somewhat a comedy act, they have definate talent, and you knows it clart!

Ok so there's way too many mainstream artists on this thread so I thought I'd add a few that are a little bit more underground or older to balance things out. I do like a lot of mainstream rap/hiphop though. By the way, you should definately check out everyone I name because if you haven't already, you're missing out. Oh and if you are genuinly interested and want me to send you some of the music through AIM or something like that just PM me. I'll answer you as soon as I can.

Oh and if you like Jay z's black album check out the remixed gray album done by DJ danger Mouse (It's a mix of Jay z's black album with the Beatle's White album -really cool)

Atmosphere (actually he's startingto get popular but I still like him)
Aesop Rock
Mr. Lif
Akrobatik
Akbar - sooo good
Big L - - - -Best of All Time!
Biz Markie
Blackalicious
cee-lo
Digable Planets
Slick Rick
DJ Revol.ution - Not actually Rap, it's hiphop/scratch but check it out anyway
Dr. Octagon
Wu-Tang - - SO Mainstream, but I'm from Jersey and they needed to be mentioned because they have some serious talent
Hieroglyphics
Vibraciones
Kheops
De LA Soul
MC Solaar
Necro
Souls of Mischief
Talib Kweli

You gotta be kidding me. He's got skills on the board and in the booth.

Mc's: Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Nas, Jigga, Joe Budden (Don't let record sales fool you on him, TOTALLY COMPLETELY slept on), Tupac (The Best), Ice Cube, Eazy E, Eminem (Don't hate cause he's white, he's got mad skills), Andre 3000, Big Daddy Kane, Jadakiss, Luda, and last but not least.... RAKIM....

"Take seven mc's put em in a line, and add seven more brothers, who think they can rhyme.
Well it'll take seven more before i go for mine, and thats twenty one mc's ate up at the same time"..

That line gets me every time... LOL..
