Yep, the US has more download options for marketplace like TV shows, films etc. I'm pretty sure the UK will get the same eventually but when I dont know. Soon hopefully!.

I think Canada will get it before our humble UK tbh.

Not that I'm bothered, because I prefer to buy pressed media such as HD-DVD.

That's funny. I live in the US and don't ever download movies or tv shows. I'm cheap though. I do look at the trailers sometimes.

microsoft doesnt care about british people

you can't expect Microsoft to give out content willy nilly... there are regulation per region (not just UK) they need licence to distribute, install servers and blah...blah. + average UK broadband are too slow and most nowadays has limit on downloads.

I don't understand why consoles and games are released in the same order. 1st japan, then US and then UK. I think that everything should be released on the same dates and also all features should be available to everyone rather than having to wait until its out in another country.

It just not that simple ^^^. Check out the link I posted earlier.

Personally I'm not too bothered about not having the extra marketplace features. I've never bought any M$ points and I doubt I'd ever buy anything off it unless it was really good. Might be good to rent a movie every once in a while though. I just like the free stuff tongue.gif .

I guess I'm one of the few that actually downloads the occasional movie off of my 360 then. It's cheaper to rent a movie, in High-Definition mind you, then it is to rent a SD movie from Blockbuster.

I have the Blockbuster Online deal, and I get alot of HD-DVD movies from there, but they don't offer Wicker Man in HD. The 360 does, so I'll rent it from there. I need to put my HD-TV to work to justify the cost. tongue.gif

Plus, my GF's niece came over for the weekend, jumped on the 360 and downloaded Barnyard, and presto, a cartoon to watch with the 4 yr old. And, once again, cheaper than Blockbuster, and I don't even have to get my lazy butt off of the couch to grab it, or to return it. I love having the extra options.

Someone didn't do much research. Xbox released in US first. November 22, 2005 US, December 02, 2005 Europe, December 10, 2005 Japan. Gears of War released in US first. November 10, 2006 US, November 17, 2006 Europe, January 18, 2007 Japan.
