Following this guide, I just about finished softmodding. However, when I reach the final stage of the NDURE installer (option 1 on the NDURE script), it reaches the end of part two, into part three and says "Theres not enough space on the harddrive". It also says "Failed to read "(forgot what it said)/evox.ini (Not present on disk)" or something along those lines. It also mentioned an error regarding ShadowC, I think. The Xbox did get softmodded though, it works and all, I was just wondering if it's anything to worry about?

Also, I have a couple more questions.

1. Can I replace the IDE cable connecting the HD, DVD drive and mobo in the xbox with any IDE cable?
2. After installing NDURE, is the MS Dash supposed to pop up, or should there be a custom one?
3. Can I run an emulator off a DVD-R, along with games?
4. Are there any must-have homebrew?
5. Can anyone give me a noob-friendly guide to applying custom dashboards?

Apologies for all the questions, I've searched for the answers but it looks like I never searched hard enough.

For some reason, I can't edit my last post. So, I'd like to ask. Can I place homebrew under x:/xboxhdm/linux/F/APPS?

its fine. The installer tries to fill up xbox with junk.

1. yes you can use any IDE cable

2. Depends on the options. Normally xbox should boot to custom dash with power button and xbox dash with eject button. If xbox boots to ms dash with power button then make sure the time and date in xbox is correct and reboot.

3. Yes

4. You can look around, I just use xbmc as default dash and couple of emulators.

5. Easiest eay is to upload the dash folderto E drive ( for example xbmc comes in a foldercalled XBMC). After succesful upload, rename E:\dash folder to something else and rename the uploaded folder to "dash".

Thanks a bunch! About the dashboard, powering the xbox via the eject button, I think, doesn't show the MS dash but goes to the xbox live screen, disallowing me from entering the main dash.

That part is configurable. You have boot1.bin on either E:\ or E:\NKP11. Move it elsewhere and eject will go to msdash - assuming the msdash files are all properly in place.
