Hi,

I've got an NTSC-J Xbox modded with an Aladdin Advance chip and running on EvoX dashboard. I'm using a Sony Wega capable of supporting 480p, 720p and 1080i. Its connected to the TV via component cables via the HD AV Pack. In the M$ Dash, I enabled all these three resolutions. Some games play fine, yet others will display a blue screen (e.g. FIFA Street), or not load at all (e.g. CSI) unless if I disable 720p and 1080i on the M$ Dash. Is this normal?

I have heard of some mod BIOSes not liking HD modes although I've had no problem myself.

First do any of those games support HD modes? Are you sure your HDTV supports 720p (many don't)?

Lastly I'd be curious if the originals loaded fine with the modchip disabled.

You need to have the HDTV pack for the back of your Xbox before those options become available.

How many people could've possibly read your post in 20 fucking minutes?

You should wait 24 hours for a response before bumping so a few people who know the answer have had a chance to read your question! muhaha.gif

And thanks, of course, to fezzman who gave you the answer.

Also if you have the HDTV pack connected to a PAL box, you still won't see those options.

If the HD cable unlocks the options, then how do you change the option if the screen is still scrambled with the cable in? Does this make sense to anyone?

Even if you enabled 480p, the MS Dash will always display in 480i, for this very reason.

If you used the two triggers, joypad trick to enable 480p on the dash, you can use the same trick to disable it as well.

So really, the situation you described is nearly impossible and/or easy to fix.
