Hi,

I have an Xbox 360 elite where the DVD drive broke a few months ago.

I swapped the drive over with a benq one. The previous was a lite on v2.

Anyways today I went on my Xbox and tried updating it and it popped up with the error saying it has been tampered with. (the error code. I don't no it off my head but it ends in 0099 I am away for the weekend)

I have the stock firmware on it not ixtreme and I added the drive key to benq firmware instead of spoofing it. The Xbox was works it just won't update

Is there anyway I can fix this or do I need to buy a lite-on drive? Is so what do I do in flashing it because I had to solder wires onto the old one.

Thanks

Alex

Whenever you replace a dvd drive, always make sure you use the same model.
As far as flashing the liteon, make sure you use the old frimware with your key.
Jungle flasher has tutorials for all drives.

Hi,

I no this is stupid but i dont have the firmware for the old lite on drive.

I have bought a lite on drive.

Added my key to the firmware that i found online, all 5 versions and none off them seem to update always the same error. I thought i have the 8 series v2 firmware but didnt work.

I am lost on what to do, but my xbox isnt band so it should update.

Thanks
